Top 20 Medical Colleges in India (NIRF 2019 Rankings) : AIIMS, Delhi Bags Top Position

The announcement of NIRF Rankings 2020 is postponed until further notice due to COVID 19. So, let's have a look at 2019 NIRF Rankings.


AIIMS, Delhi was ranked as the best medical institute in the country for the second consecutive year. In the NIRF 2019 rankings announced recently, AIIMS retained its top spot from last year. 

On the other hand, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER Chandigarh) and Christian Medical College, Vellore have retained their positions 2nd and 3rd respectively.

However, the rankings of Kasturba Medical College and King George’s Medical University, who were number 4 and 5 last year, have gone down to number 7 and 10 this year, respectively.
