Top 10 Universities in India : NIRF Ranking 2019, Tezpur University Ranked 29th

The announcement of NIRF Rankings 2020 is postponed until further notice due to COVID 19. So, let's have a look at 2019 NIRF Rankings. 


Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru has topped the list of top 10 universities in India prepared by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the Union ministry of human resource development. IISc scored 82.28 .

Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi got the second rank with 68.68 followed by Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi with 64.55 scores. The University of Hyderabad is awarded 61.85 scores with fourth rank and Calcutta University, Kolkata secured the fifth rank with 60.87 scores.

Last year also, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru had bagged the first rank with 82.16 scores.

9: Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal

10: Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune

Among the universities of Assam, Tezpur University ranked 29th, Gauhati University ranked 42nd, Dibrugarh University ranked 86th and Assam University ranked 97th.
