A notification of the Medical Council of India (MCI) is being widely circulated on social media regarding MBBS Intern Recruitment due to COVID-19 pandemic. Looking at the notice, it seems that it has been issued by the Medical Council of India.
The notice claims that MBBS interns and part II of 3rd MBBS will be recruited by government and private medical colleges from April 3. The notification even carries the signature of the Secretary General, MCI.

The notification is fake and it is brought to the attention of all concerned that there is no such letter issued by the Board of Governors, the MCI has said today.
Action is being initiated under the relevant law against such fake messages in social media, MCI said.
It has been said by MCI, ‘Please note that all important letters, circulars and public notices are put on the Medical Council of India website. For the actual notice, circular and letter, it is recommended to visit the MCI website. Apart from this, a copy has been sent to the state / centrally administered governments, DME of Medical Colleges, VC, Dean / Principal and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. ‘
