JKCET 2020 Notification OUT. Online Applications, duly affixed with latest coloured photograph, thumb impression and signature are invited from residents of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, who are eligible and desirous of appearing in the Common Entrance Test (CET) (Engineering)-2020 for admission to Bachelor of Engineering & Technology Courses for the academic session 2020.

The selection of the candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and the Rules and Regulations there under; JK Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Re- organization Act, 2019, and subject to further amendments, if any, by the competent authority, from time to time and the guidelines/information as cojkcetined in the Electronic Information Brochure- 2020. These Rules, Regulations and e-Brochure are available on the official website(s) of the BOPEE www.jkbopee.gov.in/ www.jakbopee.orgy.

The applicants are advised to fill the online Application Forms on their own or through a responsible person. The applicants can also avail of services at ‘Common Service Centers’ of J&K UT for filling up online Application Forms at nominal charge. They can also avail of the services at any National Informatics Centre located at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of the concerned District or at BOPEE office, Jammu/Srinagar or BOPEE office Jammu/Srinagar between 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m

JKCET 2020 Important Dates:

JKCET 2020 Age Limit:

Be at least 17 years old on 31st December of the relevant year (2020)

JKCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

The Applicant must:

  • Be a resident of J&K or Ladakh as the case may
  • Have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates including the Children of Defence Personnel,
  • Children of Para Military Force, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes;
  • The candidates appearing/who have appeared in the 12th Class examination (Annual Session 2020) can also appear in the BOPEE test provisionally.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply for JKCET 2020. However, they must achieve the eligibility criteria to go further in the admission process.
  • If in case, the candidate is unable to achieve the limit, the process gets cancel.

JKCET 2020 Application Fee:

Application Forms have to be submitted online only through the BOPEE websites www.jkbopee.gov.in (through URL’s/ Links provided for this purpose) w.e.f. 12thMarch to 31stMarch, 2020. The payment of Rs. 1200/- only (Rupees one thousand and two hundred only) as fee is to be made also online through the integrated Bill Desk Payment Gateway which can be used to make payment with any National Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. The procedure for filling Application Form and eligibility etc. of the candidates has been given in detail in the e-Brochure. The applicants must necessarily, in their own interest, go through this e-Brochure before attempting to fill up the online Application Form.

JKCET 2020 Exam Date:

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination has released the exam date for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (CET). The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination will going to conduct the examination on 26 April 2020. The candidates can check the exam date from our website now to avoid the last minute rush. JKCET 2020 Admit Card:

The Notification for downloading of online/electronic Admit Card will be issued separately. The candidates, who fail to download their admit card, must report in the office of the BOPEE Srinagar/Jammu immediately. The electronic admit card will indicate time, Venue and schedule of the Entrance Test. The electronic Admit Card shall have the space for photograph of the candidate. The candidate has to affix his/her photograph which should then be attested by a Gazetted officer. Candidate will in no case be allowed to appear in the Entrance Test without attested photograph on the Admit Card. The candidates are advised to remain in touch with the official Website(s) of BOPEE for updates for Centre notification and for other important information relating to Common Entrance Test (Engineering) 2020. The candidates will receive SMS and / or e-mails for updates at various stages during the entire process of filling up of the online application form till selection of candidates, if applicable.

JKCET 2020 Venue for Conduct of Examination:

The Examination shall be conducted at Jammu / Srinagar simultaneously.

 JKCET 2020 Syllabus:

 The syllabus, the tentative number of seats, Reservation Policy etc. for the examination are given in the e-Brochure. The examination shall be conducted in one sitting of three hours duration and the paper shall 180 questions comprising different sections

JKCET 2020 Required Documents:

Original Documents required to be submitted in the Institution at the time of Admission

  • Marks certificate of the qualifying examinations (12’h class marks certificate);
  • Date of birth (Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate) from the Board of School Education;
  • Residence Proof Certificate of UT of J&K or Ladakh as the case may
  • Category Certificate, if

  • The sports category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form.
  • They are also required to submit their Sports certificate(s) in the office of the Secretary, J&K Sports Council Jammu / Srinagar for determining their sports points which will be afterwards officially forwarded by the Council to the
  • The BOPEE, however, shall not be responsible for non-inclusion of any candidate in the list forwarded by the Sports Council or for their delay in submission of sports points to the
  • The candidates having more than one reserved category certificate can get benefit of only one category indicated and uploaded along with the Application Form, which in no case shall be changed afterwards.
  • The candidate, whose category certificate has not been found valid, will be considered in open merit, if otherwise found eligible without any further
  • Candidates who select single choice/preference shall be considered for that course/college

However, it is for the information of all concerned that afore-titled documents as required for submission of application form shall be considered provisional and subject to change(s) vide any order as may be issued by the Government subsequently.

JKCET 2020 General Instruction:

 

  • No under process certificate will be accepted
  • The information provided by the candidates in the online Application Form cannot be verified from the original documents by the BOPEE officials before admission of candidates.
  • The information on the Application Form downloaded page or on the Admit Card of candidate shall in no case be construed as an acceptance of such information/category certificate by the BOPEE.
  • Therefore, if at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled without any further notice;
  • The candidates are warned not to resort to any unfair / fraudulent means or act of impersonation at the time of Entrance Test or upload any objectionable material including a photo of any object, other than his/her own photograph while submitting the online form.
  • In case, a candidate is found taking recourse to such acts, criminal prosecution shall be launched against him/her and his/her abettors. He /she shall be permanently debarred from appearing in the entrance Test in future.
  • Any candidate uploading image of an object other than his/her own photograph shall be disqualified from appearing in the Examination(s). Besides action as warranted under law shall also be taken against such candidate.
